Stephanie Cox
Joins BMI We are pleased to announce that Stephanie Cox has
joined team BMI as Vice President. With 20 years experience working
for banks large and small, Ms. Cox brings a wealth of knowledge to
BMI as well as a commitment to customer service that will help
further strengthen our services.
A Lenior-Rhyne graduate,
Stephanie has extensive hands on operational experience working for
banks such as BB&T, Capital Bank, First Charter, High Street
Banking Company, Southern National Bank and Wachovia.
To
bolster service offerings and respond to ever expanding client
requests for assistance with state and Federal regulatory changes,
her primary focus will be on Compliance Readiness Programs. With
Stephanie's background that spans from Teller-line experience, to
Operations Director, to Senior Security Officer and more, she will
help fine tune policies, procedures, testing and training to help
community banks cope with the myriad legislative initiatives (and
their interpretations) in a common sense way that will also help
improve overall productivity.
Please join us in welcoming
Ms. Cox to the BMI family.
Community Bankshares Taps BMI
for New Florence Branch Community Bankshares is opening
their newest location to strengthen their position in the Florence,
South Carolina market area in January. We are proud that they have
asked BMI, once again, to handle all technology needs for this
branch from design to installation.
This new site will also
be launching their latest improvements to business continuity
programs with dual circuits, Frame and Fiber. The redundant data
pathways will automatically reroute traffic in the event of a Frame
outage and allow for load balancing to handle services such as video
conferencing.
It is great to see our friends continue the
successes that a very unique approach to community banking has
created.
Expanded Compliance Services Be certain

smiling. They can actually improve productivity at

Major
Workstation Market Shakeups? With the announcement that IBM
has sold off its line of personal computers, the difficult
competitive landscape in this market is becoming clearer. BMI has
been watching closely to be certain our clients get the most out of
the results and are insulated from the further shakeups we expect in
the coming months.
As you may know, BMI builds custom
workstations for many of our clients. We also certified Dell as a
viable resource. As a BMI client, you have good news on both fronts.
BMI workstations like the super space-saver Z-3, are built
with best of class components from the leading manufacturer in each
category. Then for Dell products, many industry analysts rate this
company as being best positioned to weather the tightening nature of
the new life cycle (which was brought to a clear focus with Y2K).
Either way, you have BankSys Management working for you to
ensure continuity across all of your systems.
Mountain
1st Growth Continues BMI client, Mountain 1st Bank &
Trust Company has opened its permanent corporate headquarters
facility at 101 Jack Street in Hendersonville, NC. We are proud to
continue assisting this strong team of professionals by providing
all technology resources for this, their fifth location.
Greg Gibson, CEO of Mountain 1st stated, “We are both
pleased and excited with the completion of Mountain 1st Bank’s new
main office / corporate office facility. We believe that this
facility will be a great addition to Hendersonville and expect it to
serve the company well for a long period of time. Since the Bank’s
inception, just over six months ago, Mountain 1st has made what we
believe to be a significant impact on Henderson County and western
North Carolina. In that short period of time, we have created fifty
new jobs in the area as well as becoming the fastest growing start
up bank in North Carolina history. The opening of our new corporate
office is one more demonstration of this company’s long term
commitment to western North Carolina and the shareholders, customers
and staff who have jointly brought Mountain 1st into reality. Again,
we wish to thank and congratulate these groups on the opening of the
company’s new facility.” |
